Art Appraising remains one of the most essential tasks in the art business. Dr. Taylor has over 20 years experience in the international art world, and has seen, handled, and traded in a vast array of objects from all over the globe.  He has two Hungarian State (European Union-valid) appraisers licenses, one in Antique Furniture and the other in Oriental Carpets. He has advanced expertise on the Central European region, especially on issues of modernism and applied arts, and especially in the works of the Wiener Werkstätte. 

Insurance Appraisal

Insurance appraisals are necessary for collectors either while the work is on exhibition, in storage, in transit, and in case of theft or damage. Works are appraised on Retail Replacement Value (RRV) method. 

Estate Appraisal

Estate appraisals are essential for the transference of personal property at inheritance proceedings or in event of divorce or bankruptcy. Works are appraised on Fair Market Value (FMV) method.  

Donation Appraisal

Donation appraisals that earn tax deductions are the most rigorous type of appraisal as they must meet strict IRS requirements. Works are appraised on Fair Market Value (FMV) method.
